THOUSANDS PLAYED CROATIAN VIDEO GAMES AT WORLD EXPO 2025 OSAKA!

The Croatian Audiovisual Centre, through the Games Croatia project and in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, successfully presented the Croatian video game industry at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. The presentation took place as part of the global initiative Games Around The World during the themed week "Learning & Playing" in July.

In Osaka, the Croatian video game industry was led by Benjamin Noah Maričak, Head of the Games Croatia and Head of Video Games and New Technologies at HAVC. Alongside him, the Croatian video game industry was represented by game developers Rea Budić and Renato Lovreković from Tiny Meow studio, residents of the PISMO Incubator.

“It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm and overall interest visitors showed for Croatian video games. We are grateful to the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia for giving us the opportunity to showcase the Croatian video game industry at the same World Expo where Nikola Tesla once showcased his innovations! The reactions from visitors and the interest generated by Croatian video games confirm that we are taking the right steps toward strengthening the international recognition of our audiovisual industry,” said Benjamin Noah Maričak.
